This 3 day Logic Certification accredited course covers the design, installation and maintenance of Solar Photovoltaic Systems. It also covers amongst other things, site surveys, array and invertor sizing. The course can be taken by those designing or managing the installations (who do not hold any electrical qualifications), who will be awarded the Designer Certificate on successful completion, or the Installer Certificate, which can only be awarded to those who hold a suitable Electrical Qualification (e.g. Part P). This course is recognised by the MCS schemes.
This two day course is aimed at experienced plumbers or heating engineers who wish to extend their scope to include the installation of solar hot water systems. It covers all major types of panel and indirect system.A G3 Unvented HotWater qualification is a pre-requisite, as is a recognised qualification in a plumbing or gas/oil/solid fuel assessment. A basic knowledge of water regulations and electrics is desirable. This course is not designed to cover in depth the roof and/or access work associated with a Solar system, although it does cover the Health & Safety regulations related to working at heights. The course gives direct access to the installation grants currently available for your customers if you register through the UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme (UK MCAS) at http://www.ukmicrogeneration.org/ on successful completion of the course.
ECTA also offer a one to one consultancy service, where our MCS specialist will visit your business and inspect your administration systems and/or installation, to ensure you are ready for your inspection. This service offers individual advice for your own business, and will give you confidence that you are meeting the scheme requirements.

This one day course is aimed at Heating Engineers who wish to notify their own installations under Part L of the Building Regulations. The course consists of training and a multiple choice exam. Price includes certification.
